Kyra Auffermann, writing for the National Coffee Association USA, teaches us how to make cold brew coffee at home without any expensive gadgets. Check out my observations from her article below.
- Not the diluted drink that some believe it to be, the perfect cold brew is a controlled concentration of coffee
- Buy yourself some coarsely-ground coffee—not too fine, else it will go cloudy—and mix your grounds with cold water in a large covered jar/container (1/3 of a cup of coffee to 1.5 cups of cold water)
- Leave your mix overnight, then strain using a filter or muslin cloth and tada! Add more water, milk, and flavoring to your own taste
