  • The risk of death from heart disease, chronic respiratory illnesses, diabetes, pneumonia, influenza and suicide is lowest for people who drink around 4-5 cups a day
  • The reason being that coffee includes biologically active compounds, including phenolic acids, potassium, and caffeine which can reduce heart-related mortality
