Global Coffee Recipes
Associate story producer Herrine Ro of Insider examines the many different ways people drink coffee all over the world. I’ve shared my favorites below.
- Begin in Mexico for a Café de Olla, where the coffee is brewed with cinnamon, served in a clay mug, and enhanced with piloncillo
- Move across to Senegal for a Café Touba, coffee flavored with Guinea pepper and cloves during the roasting stage
- Up to Finland for a Kaffeost, where the coffee is combined with chunks of cheese curds (juustoleipä), before a trip east to Vietnam for a Cà phê đá, where coarse ground coffee is dripped through a French filter into ice and condensed milk—mmm tasty!
