Brew the Perfect Iced Coffee at Home
If you’re enjoying warmer temperatures, Jenna Hrdlicka of Iowa State Daily has some great ideas for creating your own home-brewed ice coffee to cool down with. Read on for great coffee tips!
- Brewing with hot water extracts a lot of flavor from coffee beans, but it can also enhance the bitterness; cold brewing creates a smoother blend
- Mix 1 – 2 oz. of medium ground coffee per cup of water in fresh water inside a container and place in the fridge overnight or for a full 24 hours if you like stronger coffee
- Strain the cold brew and pour over ice cubes when ready, then add creamer and sugar if you like or drink it black to make the most of the flavor!
