Today, I wanted to share Dr. Rebecca Newton’s piece today from Forbes on common behaviors of people that are happy in their work. An insightful piece, see my summaries below for more detail.

 

  • It’s easier to be happier if you know what the driving force behind your happiness is—sit down and evalute what makes you tick
  • Start to build these small happinesses into your daily routine; begin with at least three things
  • Sign up for activities that will engage you and bring you a sense of purpose; whether it’s a new project or working with new people
  • Challenge the things that make you unhappy and try to remove them from your work day
